Blessed to live in such a wonderful community, the Robinson boys now attend the same school Emily and her husband graduated. She's a true "boy mom" (and competitor) so she thoroughly enjoys all of the sports her sons play. You can often find her and her family under the Friday night lights for the Tigers. They are Clemson and Carolina Panther fans, so they try to go to as many games as they can.
She enjoys having a playground in her backyard and spends summers hiking, mountain biking, and trail running, and has recently picked up kayaking. She loves to serve her church, Cherryfield Baptist, as well as the community and schools in whatever capacity she can.

Once her full day comes to a close, however, Annie’s true heart and soul can be found in the presence of her wonderful children, family and friends.

Renee was born and raised in Yancey County. She and husband Ricky have been married 35 years and they have three children (who are all married). Renee has three grandsons, ages 5, 11 and 15. Her husband is the Pastor of Double Island Baptist Church in Green Mountain, NC.
Renee began her career in insurance while still in high school. She worked after school in the agency her mom owned. Then, in 1991, she became a licensed agent and went to work full time for Yancey Insurance. In 2011, her mom retired and sold the business to current owner, Jason Trent of Trent & Associates, Brevard, NC .
Most of Renee's time outside of work is filled with taking care of her grandchildren, cooking, and attending church. Family time is special to her. She tries to make sure they go somewhere on vacation every year together, and cooks supper for them every Sunday night. Her church also holds a very special place in her heart. Being able to share her faith, give someone a kind word, or encourage a person that might be having a bad day is what makes everything worthwhile.
One of her favorite scriptures from the Bible is: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God." (Romans 8:28)
She was born and raised in O-H-I-O, however growing up she has always felt she was a southern girl stuck in the north.
Crystal loves and cherishes having time with her two sons and extended family, who are located throughout the United States. She has always been a traveler and has visited most of the 50 states.
Living up in the mountains of Newland, NC she has taken full advantage of skiing, hiking and being outside with the gorgeous views and outdoor surroundings.
Dena graduated from East Yancey High School in 1971 where she was elected "Best All Around" by her senior class members.
Dena's focus on customer service helps her continue to live up to this title. Beginning her career in the early 70s, she started in banking, moved to loans, and then bookkeeping. She's always worked to provide excellent customer service, making her customer the "number 1 thing."
The early 80's led Dena into management in healthcare, managing 3 medical offices located in Yancey and Mitchell counties. Dena retired from healthcare management in December 2012, looking forward to life as a retiree.
That was short lived for Dena, because she had been so accustomed to working that retirement soon became boring. Dena decided that she would like to work part time, and started praying that God would leader to the place that He could use her.
In may 2012, God led Dena to begin working part time for Trent & Associates. Dena enjoyed her job so much that she is now working full time with Trent & Associates at the Spruce Pine location.
Dena has a servant's heart. She loves serving her church and the community. One of her favorite things to do is volunteer at the food pantry ministry that her church is involved in within the South Toe community.
Dena has been married to the live of her life, Jack, for 45 years. They enjoy camping, canoeing, and just spending time with each other. They are planning on doing some traveling out west and to Alaska in the future (if Dena will ever retire).
